In this tutorial, we’ll show you how to make your own Cloud Shrink Plastic Earrings using shrink plastic and a few simple tools.

Shrinking polystyrene creates a thicker, glass-like finish while keeping the clouds lightweight. The pastel gradient mimics real clouds, and the raindrop dangles add motion and shine—perfect for everyday wear or gifts.
Step-by-Step Tutorial
1. Prepare the Materials
You’ll need:
Shrink plastic sheets
Scissors
White pencil
Blue pastel
Craft knife
Hole puncher
Heat gun
Jump rings, earring hooks, and crystal beads
The required materials can be obtained from findings-supplies.
1. Print the obtained templates onto A4 paper.
2. Draw the shape of a cloud on the heat shrink sheet.
Place the heat shrink sheet on top of the template and draw cloud shapes using a white water-soluble pencil.
3. Cut out the drawn clouds.
When cutting, be careful of curved parts and corners to avoid tearing the heat shrink film.
4. Apply blue pigment evenly to the cut heat shrink sheet.
When applying, use your fingers to apply in circular motions to avoid making some areas too dark.
5. Use a hole punch to punch holes in the heat shrink sheet.
Heat shrink film shrinks when heated, so when drilling holes, the holes need to be positioned a certain distance from the edges.
6. Use a heat gun to heat the heat shrink sheet, causing it to shrink and solidify.
The heat gun gets very hot, so be careful not to burn your hands.
7. After the heat-shrink sheet is heated, it is combined with the other materials to form a complete earring.
